Granite City is located approximately 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis and it's very easy to get to. The Chamber of Commerce of Southwestern Madison County is proud to welcome you to our community. The Chamber is fortunate to represent a very diverse area that includes the cities of Granite City, Madison, Venice, the Village of Pontoon Beach, and the unincorporated area known as Mitchell.

The Granite City High School is the home of the Warriors. It is located at 3101 Madison Ave and they have several clubs for the students to join. They include band, business tech, chorus, hockey, math, national honor society and many more.

Granite City boasts an excellent hospital, Gateway Regional Medical Center, and it is conveniently located at 2100 Madison Avenue. The hospital offers several services for all patients which include behavioral, cardiac, emergency services, fitness center, home health, hospice, imaging, physical rehab and much more.

If you are a race fan then you need to go to the Tri City Speedway located right on Nameoki Rd. They do all kinds of different racing and it's so much fun to go and enjoy the excitement of the crowd and the roaring of the cars as they speed by.

In Granite City boasts more than 12 gorgeous parks and an exceptional state park as well. One of them is Wilson Park and it is the oldest and largest of the dozen parks operated by the Granite City Park District. It opened in 1923 and it covers 75 tree shaded acres.
