Located on the bluffs above the Mississippi, Collinsville Illinois is home of the Collinsville High School Kahoks and their legendary basketball coach, Virgil Fletcher. The city is surrounded by many attractions including the world famous Brooks Ketchup Bottle Water Tower, Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site and Fairmount Race Track, the only live horse racing track south of Chicago.

Eastport Plaza houses many hotels just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis. The Gateway Center is the largest convention-banquet center in S.W Il. Families staying in the Eastport area can entertain themselves at either Splash City Water Park or Gateway Fun Park.

Just around the corner stands Collinsville Crossing, the newly constructed retail shopping area anchored by Super Walmart and Home Depot.

Downtown Collinsville features the Miner's Theatre, the newly built Collinsville Museum, City Hall and the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber, along with Collinsville Progress, puts on the annual Main Street Event, Italian Festival in the fall and the International Horseradish Festival in early summer. The business district of Collinsville has been revived with the help of TIF funding and the efforts of Uptown Collinsville.

Just north of town lies Maryville home of the areas' YMCA and Anderson Hospital.
